ARPEL decides to compile and analyze in this report, the current or developing national policies in the countries of the Latin American and Caribbean (LAC) region, regarding the decarbonization of the energy sector.
The document compiles the activities carried out in 2022 under the four Strategic Vectors: Energy Transitions, Operational Excellence, Sustainable Management and Relationship with Stakeholders.
The Report includes links to virtual workshops developed throughout the year and to new publications. In addition, it provides an overview of training courses, dissemination activities and ARPEL 2022 Conference.
This document provides an overview of the role of natural gas, complemented by lower carbon/green gases, in the energy transition in the specific context of Latin America and the Caribbean. It aims to contribute to the international energy dialogue, to help in the understanding of the critical benefits that natural gas and low-carbon gases can bring to the energy transition, and to provide evidence and insights to inform energy stakeholders about the opportunities and challenges of the region.
This Guideline refers to geotechnical mitigation works in pipelines, and places special emphasis on issues related to the types of geotechnical works that are necessary in the different stages of the life cycle of an asset -referring to a hydrocarbon transportation system
ARPEL remains faithful to its mission of promoting the development and transformation of our sector in an era of energy transitions and new risk dynamics. That was precisely the motto of our successful Conference that was held in Lima from November 14th to 16th. We had some 460 registered professionals, including 60 speakers and 15 regional CEOs.

ARPEL Member Companies occupational safety statistics annual report analyzes the trends of four reactive indicators (total incidents, gravity, frequency of incidents with lost workdays and fatalities) and two proactive indicators (safety training intensity and task planned observations), broken down by business line (E&P, refining, pipelines, distribution and others) and by category (company and contractors).
