Marcela Rosas is a Director for the Latin America Gas, Power and Climate Solutions practice. She is an expert in fundamental analysis and outlooks for the largest natural gas markets in the Americas, including scenario development. Her experience includes running gas simulation models that provide balanced market projections for gas demand, pipeline flows (and prices in the case of the United States and Canada). She has covered the North American gas markets, and currently covers the Andean Region and Southern Cone markets.
Ms. Rosas has contributed regularly to service reports for Global gas and LNG services, to consulting projects and studies. Her research has included reports on the drivers of natural gas price volatility and fundamentals, on LNG arbitrage between markets in the Pacific and the Atlantic Basins, on North American LNG exports, on the effect of global gas prices on different markets, and more recently on the potential for Argentina gas to reach Brazil.
Ms. Rosas’ past professional experience includes project logistics, bidding, and sales for the pipeline inspection industry. She holds a BA from Mexico Autonomous Institute of Technology and an MS from the Colorado School of Mines and the French Petroleum Institute
