Reducing Failures and Energy Consumption in Ecopetrol's Artificial Lifting Systems

Introduction

In this webinar, the management of failures and the defect elimination process in Ecopetrol's main lifting systems will be presented, consisting of: Electric Submersible Pumping, Mechanical Pumping and Progressive Cavity Pumping. Additionally, best practices and the implementation of solutions that have allowed reducing failures and improving the energy efficiency of wells will be shared.

    Laura Matheus

    Senior Production Engineer, Ecopetrol

    Laura Matheus is a Senior Production Engineer in the Upstream Vice Presidency of Ecopetrol. She has nearly 20 years of experience working in service companies and operators in the oil industry in Venezuela and Colombia, where she has developed her professional career in artificial lifting systems and production operations. She currently serves as the subsurface reliability leader, supporting Ecopetrol's fields in monitoring the performance of Artificial Lifting Systems, conducting failure analysis, and implementing technological improvements to reduce failures.
