    Santiago Martinez serves as GeoPark’s Sustainability Manager, bringing over 15 years’ experience in sustainability, climate change and environmental regulation having designed and implemented various strategies and projects within these areas throughout his career. Prior to joining GeoPark, he led Ecopetrol Group’s Sustainability and Decarbonization division, driving key initiatives on climate change, biodiversity, circular economy, and nature-based solutions.

    Santiago has held key leadership roles at BP, Colombia’s Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development, and the International Union for Conservation of Nature in Germany. He was the environmental coordinator of Colombia’s accession process to the OECD, and was a member of the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD). Currently, he serves as Vice-Chair of the Ipieca Climate Change Group, reinforcing his leadership in global environmental policy and strategy.

    Santiago holds a Law degree from Universidad de los Andes, an MBA from ESMT Berlin, and a Master’s in Law and Business from the University of Pennsylvania.

    Maria is Lawyer from the Universidad Católica Argentina, Master in International Relations and Negotiations from the University of San Andrés and Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences (FLACSO), Master in International Economic Relations from the University of Barcelona and Master in Administration and Public Policies from the University of Saint Andrew. Maria is certified as a Leadership Professional in Ethics & Compliance by the Ethics & Compliance Initiative.

    Maria is YPF’s Chief Compliance Officer since 2021. Between 2006 and 2020 she held different positions related to government control & public policies, corporate governance, ethics & transparency and integrity.

    Lauren Wisbeski is Senior Associate, ESG Issuer Relations, part of MSCI ESG Research. Leveraging our position at the center of the issuer and investor communities, the ESG Issuer Relations team is responsible for engaging with issuers, providing strategic oversight for issuer engagement and education, and serving the liaison role between issuers in our coverage universe and our analytical staff. We work closely with our ESG Issuer Communications team, who support issuers with all incoming queries.

    Prior to MSCI, Lauren was Disclosure Manager at CDP, where she led disclosure strategy for all public companies in North America. Her efforts resulted in significant increases in disclosure to the Forests questionnaire and from first-time CDP responders. Throughout her career Lauren has held roles in Communications and Marketing, nonprofits, and government affairs. She holds a BS in Political Science from Boston University.

    Balazs is part of the ESG Product Management Team supporting clients with our Corporate ESG Solutions. He is a day-to-day operational lead working with Issuers globally.

    Prior to MSCI, Balazs was an Investment Manager at BlackRock leading the Transition Investment Management Team by managing large scale complex finance projects in Budapest. Before BlackRock, he spent 6 years at MSCI as an Index Consultant servicing Tier-1 sell side clients. He holds a master's degree in economics, and he is part of the European Federation of Financial Analysts Societies holding the EFFAS diploma.

    Jonathan conducts corporate governance research at MSCI, where he covers numerous sectors in the Americas.

    Prior to joining MSCI, he provided strategic support for North American activist investors and issuers engaging in proxy contests, in addition to corporate governance advisory services. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree, with a double major in earth sciences and economics, from Dalhousie University and an MBA from the University of St. Gallen.

    Gabriela is a research analyst at MSCI and is responsible for industry and thematic research for the Oil & Gas industry. In her previous role at the UK's Office for National Statistics, she conducted quantitative research to improve the quality of the U.K’s COVID-19 statistics, published reports on the U.K.’s green economy and supported Costa Rica’s delegation at COP 26.

    Gabriela has a master’s degree in international public policy from University College London and a bachelor’s degree in international management from the University of Manchester.
