Post the announcement of the FID by TotalEnergies and APA Corporation in block 58 a $10.5 billion USD development should realize first oil production by 2028. The first major offshore development in Suriname in which Staatsolie has the right to participate to a maximum of 20% in the development and production of the commercial field represents a historic milestone in Suriname’s Oil & Gas industry. The largest ever investment in the country will usher in a new chapter of economic development and fittingly the 5th edition of SEOGS will be hosted by Staatsolie under the theme, ‘A New Dawn’.
