In addition to providing institutional support, Arpel participated in different spaces in the latest edition of Energy Summit 2024, an event organized by the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG) from November 19 to 21 in Punta del Este, Uruguay.
On the first day, Carlos Garibaldi, Executive Secretary of Arpel, presented jointly with Rodrigo Vaz, Upstream Director of S&P Global, an analysis on the tax competitiveness of E&P in Latin America and the Caribbean during the Industry-Regulatory Agencies round table, which was attended by representatives of different Agencies and important companies in the oil and gas sector in the region.
Arpel's participation in the Energy Summit 2024 continued with Garibaldi's presentation on the panel dedicated to the role of natural gas. The panel was made up of Nikki Morris, Executive Director of the Ralph Lowe Energy Institute TCU Neeley School of Business; Carla Damasceno, Joint Venture Coordinator at Petrobras; and Vinicius Romano, Vice President of Latin American Gas Markets at Rystad Energy.
Meanwhile, on the last day of the Summit held in Punta del Este, Garibaldi was moderator of the Regulatory Agencies panel in which Alejandro Stipanicic, President of Ancap, and Orlando Velandia, President of the ANH of Colombia, participated.
