Objectives: To exchange best operating and management practices among refineries in the region, while facilitating networking among its professionals.
The Committee also facilitates the creation of permanent networks for the exchange and technical assistance among peers, experts in the various refining operations throughout the region.
In addition to addressing the traditional operational issues inherent to the different units within a refinery, the Committee analyzes cross-cutting issues applied to the segment, such as: energy optimization, carbon footprint, water footprint, emission reduction, digitization, and cybersecurity.
The Refining Committee seeks to foster the exchange of best practices throughout the entire oil refining industry chain, spanning from the planning of new projects, their implementation, sharing operational best practices in operation and maintenance fields, the outcomes of applying new technologies, and reciprocal assistance among companies to find solutions to specific problems."
