ROSEN Group has joined ARPEL as a new member, aiming to drive knowledge sharing and best practices among key players in the energy sector across the region.
Eduardo Soria, Vice President for ROSEN South America, emphasized the importance of this partnership: "Arpel is a key organization for us in our mission to strengthen safety and efficiency in oil, gas, and mining operations across the region. We believe this collaboration will serve as a vital platform to share technological advancements and best practices between our experts and the broader industry."
ROSEN in South America
With more than 40 years of global experience, ROSEN has solidified its presence in South America through asset integrity management. The company operates in the region from its main offices in Bogotá, Rio de Janeiro, and Buenos Aires.
"Our commitment is to contribute to the strengthening of our clients' operations by utilizing cutting-edge technologies and innovative services that truly make a difference," said Soria.
ROSEN focuses on key technical priorities in the energy sector, such as pipeline integrity and threats like cracking, corrosion, deformation, geohazards, uninspectable lines, and more.
"Sharing best practices in these areas is essential for developing stronger safety standards in the region," said Soria.
Technological Innovation
Regarding the technological innovation developed by the company in the region, Soria referred to the Data Fusion tool, which was a finalist at the ASME Global Awards and won the best paper award at the 2024 International Pipeline Conference in Canada.
Through Data Fusion, the company combines inspection data and artificial intelligence to accurately map defect morphology, significantly improving failure calculations and addressing critical threats more efficiently.
Another key development is RoGeo PipeDrift, designed to monitor ground movements that could compromise pipeline integrity, especially in geologically challenging areas.
In relation to the safety of operations in the oil and gas sector, Soria expressed that “it is essential for the industry to operate safely, protecting the people and the environment. Today, we are the sum of our experiences over all these years, allowing us to influence the industry toward safety."
“Our passion for innovation drives us to create technologies that not only extend asset life but also improve performance and ensure more safer and efficient operations. We believe that collaboration with organizations like Arpel will be a catalyst for driving safety, sustainability, and innovation throughout the region," Soria concluded.
