Environment, Health and Safety Committee

The work of this committee is cross-cutting to all the operations of the industry value chain, and focuses on health and prevention of work incidents, on the safety of operations, and on the search for continuous improvement in environmental management and performance, including oil spill preparedness and response.

The Committee focuses on the exchange of information and experiences, among peers and with reference organizations, and on the development of tools to foster the implementation of best practices in industrial and process safety, health and environment. It prepares annual reports on safety and environmental performance of the contributing members.

Thanks to the active participation of each delegate in the Committee and in the Project Teams, member companies exchange best practices, lessons learned to improve their performance in three key issues for the sector: Health, Safety and Environment. Since its creation in the early 1990s, we have maintained our commitment and kept on working together to enhance knowledge and thus achieve operational excellence: zero accidents; mitigation of environmental impacts, and promotion of healthy working environments."
