This document deals with the singularities of oil spill contingency planning regionalization in Latin America and the Caribbean, an ARPEL approach that is described in the ARPEL Guideline on “Regionalizing Oil Spill Contingency Planning in Latin America and the Caribbean”. This approach has been perfected with the input of government delegates from the Region, as well as ITOPF, CCC, REMPEITC-Carib, and the international and regional oil industry.
