El hidrógeno como aliado en el camino a net-zero, Taller organizado por Arpel y Honeywell
Arpel y Honeywell organizaron en el marco de la Asamblea Extraordinaria realizada en México a mediados de noviembre, el taller titulado “El H2 como aliado en el camino a net-zero: tecnología, regulación y estrategia del sector”.

La actividad comenzó con una visita técnica al Centro Tecnológico de Honeywell y continuó con la apertura del taller, el cual se realizó paralelamente en forma virtual para socios y no socios de Arpel.

El primer panel fue dedicado a la Tecnología aplicada al H2 y contó con la participación de profesionales de UOP, Electric Hydrogen, Ecopetrol, Y-TEC, y Honeywell.

Durante la segunda jornada, expertos de Hinicio, Ancap, Ecopetrol, Petrobras, H2 México, Colombia y Chile, AIE, BID, GIZ y McKinsey & Company abordaron el rol del H2 en la transición energética, los marcos regulatorios, incentivos y certificación, y el Desarrollo del mercado regional.

Si bien aún existen grandes desafíos por enfrentar para lograr que los proyectos de producción de hidrógeno producido a partir de fuentes renovables prosperen y escalen a nivel industrial, nuestra región cuenta con amplios recursos naturales para producirlo, y las empresas del sector cuentan con amplio conocimiento e infraestructura como para impulsar su desarrollo, otorgándole así una ventaja competitiva frente a otras regiones del mundo.

Durante el Taller realizado en las instalaciones de Honeywell, las empresas socias de Arpel compartieron además sus planes y proyectos al respecto, lo que permitió conocer los desafíos comunes que enfrentan en los distintos países de la región.
