Arpel en ROG.e y en evento de gas natural de la Fundación Getulio Vargas en Brasilia

Arpel fue parte de la ROG.e Expo y Conferencia 2024, evento organizado por el Instituto Brasileño de Petróleo y Gas (IBP) del 23 al 26 de setiembre en Río de Janeiro, el cual recibió a más de 60.000 personas bajo el lema “Conectando energías”.

Carlos Garibaldi, Secretario Ejecutivo de Arpel, formó parte de la sesión “El papel del gas natural para una transición energética segura y justa en Brasil y en el mundo”, junto a Sindre Knutsson de Rystad Energy, Álvaro Tupiassú de Petrobras, y Andrés Sannazzaro de Repsol Sinopec Brasil. La moderación estuvo a cargo de Ieda Gomes del Oxford Institute for Energy Studies.

La segunda participación de Arpel en la ROG.e fue a través de la presentación del White Paper de Arpel “Transiciones Energéticas Justas en América Latina y el Caribe”, la cual estuvo a cargo de Patricia Marques, Especialista en Cambio Climático de Petrobras, y de Rodrigo Vaz, Director de Upstream de S&P Global, en representación del Comité de Transiciones Energéticas de Arpel.

Según indicó Vaz se trató de una discusión de alto nivel sobre el documento técnico publicado por Arpel sobre Transiciones Energéticas Justas con expertos de la industria que representan la visión de diferentes asociaciones del sector energético en Brasil.

Arpel fue parte de otro importante evento para el sector energético en Brasil el cual tuvo lugar el 11 de setiembre en el auditorio del Ministerio de Minas y Energía de Brasil en Brasilia.

El evento se centró en el papel del gas natural y el biometano para una transición energética justa, asequible y sostenible, y fue organizado por el Centro de Estudios de la Fundación Getulio Vargas, ABEGÁS y la Unión Internacional del Gas (IGU).

La actividad tuvo como objetivo proporcionar un espacio para el intercambio de conocimiento y recomendaciones a líderes de la industria y tomadores de decisión en Brasil sobre el uso del gas natural y biometano como combustibles para la transición.
