ARPEL, IPIECA and UNEP joined efforts to put together the Workshop “A Practical Approach to Identifying Emission Reductions Opportunities: Examples under the Kyoto Mechanisms in Latin America and the Caribbean”. The goal of the workshop (Costa Rica, December 2-4, 2002) was to bring together key stakeholders (e.g. government, business, academia and non-governmental organizations) to discuss and provide expert views on practical issues associated with the development of CDM projects in Latin America and the Caribbean. The Report contains the most relevant information provided through the Workshop, as well as some suggestions for the path forward from the workshop and key questions for the immediate and long term future.
