The present Report have been prepared upon request of ARPEL and its Natural Gas Working Group, aiming at analyzing which have been the most important characteristics of the natural gas integration process in the Southern Cone, the lessons derived from it and which might be the future steps to optimize the development of this integration.

The study is intended to respond the following questions: 1. What barriers found the process? Which were overcame and how? and Which of them still remain? 2. Which might be the future steps to deepening the process?
