During May, under the coordination of Arpel's Committee on Pipelines and Terminals (CODYTE), two control room cross-checks were conducted between member companies Axion Energy and GeoPark. This exchange included technical visits from GeoPark delegations to Axion Energy facilities and vice versa.
During the cross-checks, specialists shared work sessions in the control rooms to verify ongoing processes, get firsthand knowledge of the physical and technological infrastructure, and receive feedback from the visiting delegations to improve processes.
Axion Energy’s visit to GeoPark took place from May 20 to 22 and included the Jacana and Tigana Stations in the Llanos 34 field, located in the municipalities of Villanueva and Tauramena, in the department of Casanare (Colombia). Representing Axion were Claudio Gomina, Operations Coordinator, and Hugo Cortea, Terminal Brandsen Console Operator. Representing GeoPark was José Isaías Ramírez, Control Room Operator.
Meanwhile, GeoPark’s visit to Axion took place from May 28 to 30 at the Terminal Brandsen. Gladys Fuentes, GeoPark's Pipeline Operations Coordinator, was received by Claudio Gomina and Hugo Cortea from Axion Energy.
CODYTE, coordinated by Fabián Sánchez from Arpel, highlights the opportunities provided by the Cross-Checks for member companies. These opportunities allow for knowledge of other operations, exchange of best practices, feedback from experienced professionals, and the expansion of contact networks among technicians in the region.
