Virtual Workshop on the Development of the Climate Change National Adaptation Plan in Ecuador

  • At the end of August, a new delivery of the series of virtual workshops on Climate Risk took place.

    This edition addressed the cross-sectional aspect, analyzing a particular case study: Development of the Climate Change National Adaptation Plan in Ecuador.

    The guest speakers were Jorge Núñez, Coordinator of the Plan and member of the Ministry of the Environment, Water and Ecological Transition, and Janeth Mora, consultant of the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP), in charge of developing the Plan for the hydrocarbon sector.

    The meeting was attended by representatives of different member companies, such as Juan Gallarday from PETROPERU, Rafaela Pestana from TEMA, Eric Tolcach from YPF, Stephen Wharton from TECPETROL, Lorena Bracho and Cecilia Meza from EP PETROECUADOR, Oscar Álvarez from TGN, and Federico Paloma.

    These meetings are being promoted by Irene Alfaro, Downstream Director and Coordinator of ARPEL’s Climate Change Work Group.
