NEW EDITION OF THE VIRTUAL COURSE "INTRODUCTION TO INDUSTRIAL CYBERSECURITY AND CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURES"

  • Professionals from the Technological Laboratory of Uruguay (LATU), Grupo CAPSA of Argentina and Zeus of Paraguay participated in a new edition of the virtual course "Introduction to Industrial Cybersecurity and Critical Infrastructures,” which was held April 3-5.

    The instructor was Maximillian Kon, Managing Director of WisePlant.

    The main objectives of the course is to provide a clear vision of the technical aspects of ICS&CI (Industry CyberSecurity & Critical Infrastructure) and the life cycle of an ICS&CI system.

    The subjects of the course include: definition of critical sectors, dependencies and interdependencies; statistics on incidents and real attacks in recent years; different ICS&CI rules and standards; differences between Industrial Infrastructure vs Corporate or IT and the importance of these differences to understand the methodologies for vulnerability protection and remediation; and steps to follow for the successful implementation of an industrial cyberdefense program according to standard ISA/IEC-62443.
