  • Professionals of Chevron, Ecopetrol, Enap Sipec, EP PETROECUADOR, EQUION, Petrobell, Petrobras and Weatherford participated in ARPEL course on Corporate Social Responsibility Management Systems held in October in Bogota, Colombia. The course organized by the Regional Association of Oil, Gas and Biofuels Sector Companies in Latin America and the Caribbean (ARPEL) offered an opportunity for managers, pioneers and leaders in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) of oil companies to understand and learn how to implement ARPEL CSR management system in their organizations through an active and participatory process. ARPEL CSR Management System has been designed to be useful to different companies regardless of their size or internal structure. Therefore, it is flexible and adaptable, noting progressive stages as an organization grows and matures to align and integrate CSR into corporate policies, practices and culture. Once implemented, the System positions the company to manage CSR in the areas where it operates, in its products and services, and among the various stakeholders with whom it interacts. Management System for responsible leaders and sustainable companies, tools for CSR implementation, and the continuous improvement of CSR in business management are some of the main issues addressed in the course.
