The integrated management of reservoirs and the development of unconventional resources will be the subject of the 86th ARPEL Meeting of Experts (RANE)

  • Senior executives and experts from Ecopetrol, Pemex, Petrobras, Petroperú, Petrotrin, Pluspetrol, Repsol YPF and YPFB, among other companies, will participate in the 86th ARPEL Meeting of Experts on "Management of Reservoirs," which will be held October 6-7, 2014 in Buenos Aires. This is the most significant technical event on this subject this year, where the latest technologies on the integrated management of reservoirs will be made known.

    The congress is organized by the Regional Association of Oil, Gas and Biofuels Sector Companies in Latin America and the Caribbean (ARPEL) with the support of its Exploration and Production Committee. It will address issues related to revitalization of mature fields, monitoring of reservoirs, management of reserves, evaluation of reservoirs and the importance of training multidisciplinary teams for the optimal management of hydrocarbon deposits. An exclusive plenary session of the Congress will be devoted to the analysis of lessons learned and future challenges in the region with respect to the development of unconventional resources.

    The event is targeted to executives, technical professionals specialized in this area and academic researchers, and aims to become a space for sharing experiences in projects and case studies on these topics, which are within the growing challenge of managing reservoirs.

    The agenda of the event includes more than thirty technical presentations, nine plenary presentations, in addition to the exhibition of more than thirty posters.
