ARPEL AND THE IBERO-AMERICAN PROGRAM OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY FOR DEVELOPMENT SIGN COOPERATION AGREEMENT

  • With the aim of promoting cooperation in innovation and the development of new technologies, ARPEL signed an agreement of cooperation with the Ibero-American Program of Science and Technology for Development (CYTED).

    Through this agreement, the members of the Area Committee on Energy of CYTED and the coordinators and researchers related to Subject Networks and current Strategic Projects in this area will be part of Innov@arpel, ARPEL’s virtual corporate platform that was created with the aim of promoting interaction between innovative technology solutions providers, such as R&D centers, universities, service providers, start-up´s, SMEs, among others, and end users -operators in the energy sector, especially in oil, gas and biofuels.

    CYTED was created by the Governments of Ibero-American countries to promote cooperation in science, technology and innovation, and aims to contribute to the harmonious development of the Ibero-American region through cooperation mechanisms that seek scientific and technological results transferable to production systems and social policies.

    The CYTED program aims also to act as a bridge for interregional cooperation in science and technology between the European Union and Latin America.

    The agreement was signed by the Executive Secretary of ARPEL, Jorge Ciacciarelli, and by the Secretary General of CYTED, Alberto Majó Piñeyrúa.
