ARPEL SIGNED COOPERATION AGREEMENT WITH THE INTERNATIONAL LIQUID TERMINALS ASSOCIATION

  • ARPEL participated in the annual conference of ILTA (International Liquid Terminals Association), which took place June 11-14 in Houston, United States.

Within the renowned conference, Irene Alfaro, Downstream Director of ARPEL, presented the strategic guidelines of the Association and its lines of work, in particular those linked to terminals management.

ARPEL has a Pipelines and Terminals Committee since 2006, which was created with the purpose of identifying and acting on issues and challenges related to oil and gas transportation and distribution, and associated logistics operations. The focus is on developing best practices in processes and management systems, and training and certification programs that facilitate the continuous improvement in operational performance.

“The main players in the development and management of the pipelines and terminals business in the region come together here, forming a unique group for the exchange and generation of knowledge,” Alfaro said.

On the other hand, Tiphaine Le Moënner, as coordinator of the [Innov@arpel(https://innovarpel.org/login/?next=/) project , made a presentation of the new virtual platform developed by ARPEL, designed for innovation and technology, whose main focus is the collaboration and exchange of knowledge among professionals in the sector, academicians and researchers, as well as the development of alliances between supply and global demand, among other possibilities.

In the context of this event, ARPEL signed a cooperation agreement with ILTA. This agreement contains various objectives, emphasizing, inter alia, the search for synergies and the promotion of joint actions in technical activities (congresses, conferences, courses, studies and others relevant projects for the industry), developed by both ILTA and ARPEL in those cases in which such activities are in line with the mission and objectives of both institutions.
