With this current agreement, both organizations commit themselves to work collaborately in the projects execution, specific reports, events and training sessions, among other activities. The future actions will be focused on different themes, for instance, sceneries analysis, the integration and energetic efficiency projects collection, together with others institutions of the region such as LAIA, CAF, ECLAC, OAS, OLADE, y WEC. Those actions are aimed at identifying opportunities and key issues for the Regional Energetic Agenda.

Likewise, this accord formalizes and empowers the commitment of both institutions of fostering the cooperation in economic, social environmental, business excellence, and human capital topics among member companies and organizations of both institutions.

ARPEL´s Executive Secretary, Jorge Ciacciarelli, claimed that “this agreement formalizes collaborative work that had been carried out for many years between both institutions and implies the commitment to facilitate the dialogue among the members, the knowledge exchange and the sustainable energetic development.”

In addition, CIER´s Executive Director, Juan José Carrasco, highlighted the importance that energy will reach in the next decades for the regional development and its entry into a globalized world. Furthermore, Carrasco said that “to be able to address the challenges that the future requires us, we must improve the governance, the efficacy and the efficiency of the energetic chain.” “With this accord we hope to give institutional support to relationships that have lasted many years and strengthen in a pragmatic and efficient way the common activities that both institutions develop,” Carrasco concluded.
