Arpel participated in the Petroleum Congress of the X Cuban Earth Sciences Convention, held from April 10 to 14 in Havana (Cuba), organized by the Cuban Geological Society.
Within this framework, Arpel's Executive Secretary, Carlos Garibaldi, gave a keynote lecture entitled "Reserves, Production and Investment Trends, and the Challenges and Opportunities of the Energy Transition".
The presentation focused on the regional hydrocarbons scenario, its status, challenges -including those of state-owned companies- and perspectives, taking into account how the sector is being transformed in view of the tension between energy security (and sovereignty) and the energy transition necessary to mitigate climate change.
The Convention holds several congresses, including the Petroleum Congress, with the participation of geoscientists, geological engineers, geophysicists, drillers, production engineers, reservoir engineers, environmental engineers and other professionals.
Within the framework of the institutional visit to that country, Garibaldi held two meetings with professionals from CUPET -Arpel's member company- from the areas of Human Capital, Fuel Marketing, Maintenance, Commercial, Technical Management and Purchasing.
