This center, which recently celebrated its 10th anniversary, is one of the most relevant energy and geopolitical think tanks in the world, with the participation of academics and leaders in the energy sector.
Carlos Garibaldi, Executive Secretary of Arpel, was in charge of the presentation to a select panel of experts, in which the White Paper entitled "Natural gas in the transition to low-carbon economies: the case of Latin America and the Caribbean", launched in mid-April by Arpel, the International Gas Union (IGU) and the Latin American Energy Organization (OLADE), was presented.
On this occasion, which was the first milestone of collaboration between Arpel and CGEP, there were other participants, such as Andrea Stegher, current vice-president and future president of IGU, and Marta González, co-author of the document. The discussion was moderated by Anne-Sophie Corbeau, gas specialist and renowned academic researcher.
The meeting generated a strategic, high-level and, above all, in-depth discussion on the role of natural gas in the energy transition in Latin America and the Caribbean, from the perspective of those who were responsible for public policy in some of the most important gas markets in the region.
