Clean Development Mechanism National Offices in Latin America. In the context of the Kyoto Protocol, the CDM has created an important awareness in Latin America and the Caribbean. Jointly with the industry’s duty, organized to a great extent through ARPEL, it is remarkable that an important number of administrative and legislative initiatives from Governments of the Region, that perceive CDM as an opportunity to obtain technology transfer, economic resources and projects that promote sustainable development.
