The digital transformation process spreading across all companies, migrating toward a vision of Industry 4.0, has been empowered with these technologies, and has generated levels of disruptive innovation making viable processes that were previously only achievable in times of "high prices."

The oil and gas industry is no exception to this rule. Low prices, decline in conventional reserves, exploitation of unconventional reservoirs have led to the need to improve processes in companies, and "intelligent techniques" have proved to provide value of such magnitude to the business that have resulted in a disruption in these last years.

This presentation will provide an overview of what these technologies are and some cases where they have been successfully applied in the oil and gas industry.

Estanislao Martín Irigoyen

Estanislao Martín Irigoyen is Managing Partner of INTELIGENTIA SRL, a company engaged in the development and implementation of analytical solutions, with 10 years working in the market.

Throughout his career, he has worked as a researcher and analyst in Business Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence and Data Mining in various multinational companies and state agencies. He has also worked in areas related to data analysis since 1996.

He has worked as a researcher and developer of technology in the National Institute of Industrial Technology (INTI), as Research Fellow in the Research Commission of the Province of Buenos Aires (CIC) and in the Techint/UBA Foundation.
