  • They develop work processes for continuous improvement based on the exchange of best practices and knowledge in discussion forums.
  • With unfolding innovations, they develop and edit Guides and Manuals that provide a basis for member companies to enrich their business models.
  • They contribute to provide training and the technical support required by member companies in the implementation of best practices.
  • They provide information to conduct benchmarking studies, whose purpose is to measure and compare the improvement in the performance of member companies.
  • The Technical Committees work with the support of the Executive Secretariat of ARPEL.

TECHNICAL COMMITTEES

Human Talent and Knowledge Management

Created in 2009.

The oil, gas and alternative energies industry is a complex industry with specific purpose technology where knowledge is strongly linked to years of experience and expertise, and to the lessons learned during the processes, projects and practices of the organization. However, with a rapidly aging professional population, fast technology developments and the difficulty to attract and retain new talent, the industry is facing one of its greatest challenges in effectively transferring and preserving knowledge.

This committee was specifically created to address this management challenge in a concerted and cohesive manner within the industry in the region. Its mission is to develop, share and promote best practices and solutions in terms of human talent attraction, retention, training and development, as well as knowledge management in member companies. It is also the advisory group that supports ARPEL in its efforts to implement its programs, and training and development courses.
