VIRTUAL WORKSHOP: OPTIMIZING ENERGY USE IN THE REFINERIES MANAGED BY YPF

  • In mid-November, ARPEL’s Refining Committee organized a new meeting with the purpose of exchanging best practices.

On this occasion, the topic selected by the professionals was how to optimize energy use at refineries.

An efficient use of energy contributes to the economy of refineries but, above all, it is an environmental and social imperative to reduce the impact of greenhouse gas emissions.

The presentation was delivered by Romina González, Process and Energy Management Leader in DWN, YPF. González has a degree in Chemistry from the National University of La Plata and specializes in the Energy Management area, where she has more than ten years of experience.

The presentation described the internal organization focused on raising awareness among workers, the actions taken at the operational level and the investments and future plans to minimize the environmental impact.
