Report 2017: “ARPEL and the United Nations Global Compact”

  • The Association presented the report "ARPEL and the United Nations Global Compact," which describes the main actions taken in the period 2015-2017 in alignment with the Ten Principles of the Global Compact.

    ARPEL has as mission promoting the permanent search for operational and management excellence through cooperation and the exchange of knowledge among its members with the aim of achieving improvements in safety, environmental and social performance. Thus, the Association seeks to promote sustainable energy development in all its activities.

    ARPEL joined the Global Compact in 2006 and since then has encouraged the adoption of the Principles by its member companies.

    Key issues such as human rights, environmental management, labor practices, relations with the community, among many others, are addressed by the various Technical Committees of the Association.

    The report recently published is divided into four chapters: Human Rights, Labor, Environment and Anti-Corruption.
