FIRST EDITION OF VIRTUAL COURSE ON INDUSTRIAL CYBERSECURITY

  • ARPEL in cooperation with WisePlant conducted the first virtual course "Introduction to Industrial Cybersecurity and Critical Infrastructure."

    The training was attended by professionals from six companies of the sector: ENAP, OLDELVAL, PETROPERU, PLUSPETROL, TENARIS and YPF.

    One of the main objectives of the course was to provide attendees a clear vision of the technical aspects of ICS&CI (Industry Cybersecurity & Critical Infrastructure) and the life cycle of an ICS&CI system.

    The training was conducted by the Managing Director of WisePlant, Maximillian Kon, who is an electronics engineer, specialized in control systems and telecommunications.

    Some of the topics addressed during this course were: Definition of critical sectors, dependencies and interdependencies; statistics of actual incidents and attacks in recent years; presentation of different ICS&CI rules and standards; requirements and steps to follow in the implementation of a cybersecurity program.
