ANCAP, SCHLUMBERGER AND ECOPETROL PRESENTATIONS ON COVID-19

  • ARPEL continues with the exchange meetings on “Covid-19: Prevention and mitigation measures for critical staff”, which began in mid-March with the purpose of assisting companies in the sector to respond to the pandemic in the best possible manner.

Heads in charge of health departments of companies, staff and heads of operations and safety, both from ARPEL member and non-member companies, participated in these meetings, with the aim of accelerating the learning curve and the dissemination of best practices from head offices to operational sites.

Several of these virtual meetings have presentations in which tools, strategies and protocols are shared so that the other participants can develop their own measures for their organization and facilities.

On August 19, a meeting dedicated to the "Management and control of the pandemic at the Cartagena Refinery - Ecopetrol" was held. The presentation was made by Ernesto Gómez, Refinery Production Manager.

A meeting was held the week before: “COVID-19: Rules that Save Lives”. The technical presentation was made by Rafael Cordoba, Schlumberger's HSE Communications Manager.

Meanwhile, at the end of June, Pablo Neerman from Ancap presented “Evaluation of the risk of transmission by COVID-19”.

All the recordings and presentations are openly available at Innov@arpel: https://innovarpel.org/forum/forum/foro-de-innovarpel-1/topic/covid-19-medidas-de-prevenci%C3%B3n-y-mitigaci%C3%B3n-para-personal-cr%C3%ADtico-de-operaciones-61/
