ARPEL MEMBER OLDELVAL WON NATIONAL QUALITY AWARD 2019

  • In early October, OLDELVAL, an ARPEL member company, was honored by the National Quality Award Foundation in the category "Large Service Company" for its excellence management in all aspects of the company activities, and for creating value for all stakeholders, such as customers, beneficiaries, shareholders, employees, suppliers and community.

The prize was awarded after an in-depth analysis of the evaluations made by the examiners of each applicant organization.

The result was reported by the Minister of Production and Labor, Mr. Dante Sica, in his capacity of Enforcement Authority of the Award Law.

The mission of the National Quality Award Foundation, established in 1993, is to promote improvement in the quality of organization management in a sustainable manner by applying management models that achieve the satisfaction of customers, shareholders, employees, among others, with social responsibility and care for the environment.

As stated on the website of the National Quality Award Foundation: "International experience has shown the clear value of the prize as a tool to produce cultural change towards quality and efficiency."

This aroused the interest of a group of Argentine entrepreneurs and young executives to boost Quality from the National Congress. Thus, a bill was presented in 1991 to declare quality improvement of national interest. This was the starting point in the search for consensus and the dissemination of the initiative, which concluded, a year later, with the approval of Law 24127 establishing the National Quality Award.
