INITIATIVES PROMOTED BY ARPEL TO FACE COVID-19 AT IPIECA MEETING
In response to the health crisis generated by the COVID-19 pandemic, IPIECA, the global oil and gas industry association for advancing environmental and social performance, organizes bimonthly meetings with the associations of the sector from different parts of the world .
It is an opportunity to exchange good practices and measures implemented in the industry in the different regions.
In this framework, Tiphaine Le Moënner, manager of the ARPEL HSE Committee (CASYSIA), made a presentation in mid-June on the evolution of the pandemic in Latin America and the Caribbean, and the initiatives led by our association to help our members and the regional industry.
Since mid-March, ARPEL has organized weekly exchange meetings, for members and non-members, on protection, mitigation and adaptation measures in work environments in times of COVID-19. In addition, the creation of a forum dedicated to the topic in our virtual platform Innov@arpel. https://innovarpel.org/forum/forum/foro-de-innovarpel-1/topic/covid-19-medidas-de-prevenci%C3%B3n-y-mitigaci%C3%B3n-para-personal-cr%C3%ADtico-de-operaciones-61/
The exchanges generated in these two spaces for dialogue encourage us to continue working hard on some key points:
-Provide updated and reliable information to senior executives.
-Continue supporting the development of a Safety Culture, both Industrial and Sanitary, where individual behaviors are key to preventing accidents and, in this crisis, the viral dissemination.
-Support our members in all emerging changes caused by this disruptive crisis. For example, in the acceleration of the industry's digital transition.
