COP23 Report developed by ARPEL Climate Change Working Group

  • January 2018. It is available the Executive Report “23° Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change”, which was developed by the ARPEL Climate Change Working Group.

    The conference, which took place on November 6 – 17, 2017, in Bonn, Germany, had as main objective to move forward with the pending definitions for the implementation of the Paris Agreement, with regards to the following aspects: Transparency Framework; Technology Framework; Global Stocktake of Greenhouse gas emissions, and Cooperative Approaches.

    The necessary modalities, procedures and guidelines for the implementation of the Agreement will have to be determined at the next Conference (COP24), to be held in 2018.

    During this year, nations that ratified the Agreement will participate in an open dialogue to review the actions being undertaken.
