ENAP AND PLUSPETROL PLAYED A LEADING ROLE IN THE CROSS-CHECKS IN 2018

  • Two new terminals cross-checks were carried out in 2018.

The first one was performed by mid-year in the Terminal of Pluspetrol in Pisco, Peru. In this case, ENAP was the evaluating company, while YPFB Transporte participated as an observer.

In November, the second cross-check in 2018 was performed in Quintero Terminal in Valparaíso, Chile. ENAP was the evaluated company, Pluspetrol the evaluating company, and Pan American Energy, Transpetro and YPFB Transporte participated as observers.

ARPEL has fostered the implementation of cross-checks since 2013 with the purpose of promoting the exchange among professionals of member companies and identifying opportunities for improvement in the operation of terminals.

Cross-checks consist in the verification of the degree of implementation of ARPEL Reference Manual for Terminal Operation Management to the facilities of one company by professionals from another company in a biunivocal manner. In each instance, technicians from other companies are also invited to participate as observers.

The main objective is to identify gaps, opportunities and recommendations for improvement, in a collaborative exchange and enriching environment for all participants.
