YPF SUPPLY CHAIN GROUP VISITED ARPEL TO DEVELOP THIS ISSUE WITHIN INNOV@ARPEL

  • On September 7, in the new offices of ARPEL located in the World Trade Center Montevideo Complex, we welcomed the visit of a YPF group led by Fernando Giliberti, Vice President of Supply Chain, and Carlos Colo, Auditor of Reserves of the company, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of this Association.

The strategic guidelines and the different projects of ARPEL were presented, with the main objective of introducing and surfing through the different features of Innov@arpel, the innovative virtual platform for collaboration and business created by the Association for the energy sector.

Discussions focused on the possibilities of the Innov@arpel tool to develop regional cooperation in the supply chain, starting with the creation of a Forum on Supplier Management.

The teams agreed on the importance of promoting the widespread use of the platform by including all stakeholders: operating companies, suppliers of goods and services, academia, R&D centers, government agencies and international organizations, among others.

Also during the meeting, a number of medium and long term ideas emerged to develop this issue in the framework of ARPEL and Innov@arpel, predicting a fruitful collaboration among working groups.
