ANNUAL MEETING OF REPRESENTATIVES HELD AT YPF
YPF hosted ARPEL's Annual Meeting of Representatives, which took place on April 6 and combined in-person and virtual participation of member companies.
The day began with a webinar exclusively for members entitled "The crossroads of financing energy transitions", which aimed to analyze, from different complementary perspectives, the opportunities and risks related to climate finance and decarbonization that arise for companies in the sector.
The speakers were Marcela Ponce Pérez, Climate Finance Lead, International Finance Corporation of the World Bank; Eduardo Holgado, Managing Director, Investment Banking Division, Project, Infrastructure & Principal Finance of Goldman Sachs & Co. and Paola Carvajal, Senior Manager of Roland Berger. The debate was chaired by Irene Alfaro, Downstream Director of ARPEL.
Afterwards, the formal agenda of the Annual Meeting of Representatives began, which included the approval of the Minutes of the 2021 Annual Meeting of Representatives, the presentation of the ARPEL 2021 Annual Report - a document that gathers the main activities carried out during the past year - and the analysis of the economic-financial situation of the Association.
The Representatives also discussed issues related to the sixth edition of the ARPEL Conference, which will be held from November 14 to 16, 2022 in Lima, Peru, with the national sponsorship of Petroperu.
The event ended with a fellowship dinner.
