ARPEL AT RECOPE'S TECHNO-WEEK
ARPEL participated on November 26 in Techno-Week, an internal event dedicated to innovation organized by the member company RECOPE.
On behalf of the Association, Tiphaine Le Moënner, responsible for the development and operation of the digital platform Innovarpel www.innovarpel.org, and Hernán Vázquez, Manager of Cybersecurity and IT Projects, spoke to more than 100 company professionals.
During the meeting, both provided an overview of the priorities of oil and gas companies in the region in terms of Digital Transformation, highlighting the notable acceleration of this as in the use of digital communication tools as a result of the pandemic of COVID-19.
According to the results of a survey done with ARPEL members, three topics stand out: Industrial cybersecurity, Technology applied to Reliability and Asset Management, and Technology applied to Process Optimization.
The panel was an opportunity to present the different initiatives of the Association to support the Digital Transformation of the regional industry, firstly through the presentation of the collaboration and innovation platform, Innovarpel, which provides a space for dialogue to all actors involved in the development and implementation of innovative solutions.
Also on the Industrial Cybersecurity Working Group, created in 2015, which promotes awareness actions, training, exchange of best practices and from 2021 will promote a method of self-assessment of the maturity of the cybersecurity systems of our members.
Also in 2021, ARPEL will continue to work hard on the topic of Digitization with the first edition of the Program for the Acquisition of Skills in Intelligent Technologies for Industry 4.0, an 80-hour course, theoretical / practical in virtual mode.
“Aware that there is still a long way to go, with all these initiatives, we want to support and help our partners and the industry to fully benefit from the digital transformation that is already underway and that was significantly accelerated in 2020 as a result of the limitations imposed by the pandemic”, concluded the professionals.
