ARPEL AT IPIECA WEEK 2022 HELD IN HOUSTON

  • In order to continue promoting the sustainable development of the oil, gas and renewable energy industry in the Region and to further strengthen international ties, ARPEL participated in Ipieca Week 2022, held in Houston, United States, from March 21 to 25.

On this occasion, the event, which was again face-to-face, brought together almost 200 representatives of Ipieca member companies, who had the opportunity to share knowledge, learn more about the activities of Ipieca's Working Groups and interact with different Stakeholders.

In addition to the Annual General Meeting and the Working Group meetings, Ipieca Week 2022 featured three stakeholder panels, which were attended by Pablo Ferragut, Managing Director of ARPEL.

The panels were also attended by leading experts from various academic institutions, think tanks and other business groups outside the oil and gas sector, who shared their points of view on the actions needed to advance the energy transition and the role of the industry in this process.

One of the main messages drawn from these panels was that addressing the challenges of the energy transition requires collaboration across all sectors and parts of society, and that the oil and gas industry should focus primarily on working in cooperation with the food, finance and transportation sectors.
