AGREEMENT WITH THE HYDROCARBON EXPLORATION AND PRODUCTION COMPANIES ASSOCIATION OF URUGUAY

  • ARPEL recently signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Hydrocarbon Exploration and Production Companies Association of Uruguay (Asociación de Compañías de Exploración y Producción de Hidrocarburos de Uruguay - ACEPH). The main purpose of this agreement is to exchange experiences linked to the industry and the pursuit of synergies in the technical activities developed by both organizations.

ACEPH is a non-profit association, with headquarters in Montevideo, Uruguay, which brings together national or foreign private companies whose object is the exploration and/or production of hydrocarbons in the Uruguayan territory or on its continental shelf.

The objectives of both ARPEL and ACEPH include the promotion of initiatives that lead to economic growth, best practices for the hydrocarbon industry, technical-operational excellence, socio-environmental sustainability, and the development of human resources in the sector.

The agreement, which was concluded in the framework of the Oil and Gas Conference ARPEL 2017, was signed by the Executive Secretary of ARPEL, Jorge Ciacciarelli, and by the President of ACEPH, Andrés Imaz.
